The Sweet, Soft-Spoken Chamber Maid

Taoye, a beautiful and delicate first-class maid serving the Duchess of Jingguo, accidentally loses her virginity at a banquet. The next day, she becomes the bedchamber maid of Rong Jiu, the fifth young master of the duke’s household, who is famously uninterested in women. From then on, Taoye serves him with great “devotion” while quietly looking for a way to secure her future.

Rong Jiu had only been sleeping with the little maid every day to cure his poison. He planned to send her away once he was cured. But she was clever, and so soft and charming that the more he saw of her, the more he liked her. He thought it would be no harm to keep her by his side. But the longer he kept her, the less he could bear to let her go.

Taoye, speaking softly and sweetly: “Fifth Young Master, Madam has found me an excellent match. I’m afraid today will be the last time I serve you.”

Rong Jiu, glowering: “Don’t worry. You won’t be getting off this jade bed tomorrow, either.”
