First-Rank Lady Marquis Starts with Sign-In

[Inner-court power struggles + political intrigue] No romance. Xie Lanin is a cannon-fodder legal-mother NPC in a domestic power-struggle game. In the original storyline, her mother-in-law breaks one of her legs, she kneels every night to serve her husband, and after laboring for half her life, her children are closer to their concubine mothers. When she dies of illness, no one even cares. After awakening to human consciousness, Xie Lanin decides to overturn the rules and rewrite her fate. [Madam punishes wicked servants and cuts ties with her unfilial, rebellious daughter: sign-in points +1.] [Madam forces her younger son to break up with the princess, stopping him from becoming a groveling, tyrannical brute: sign-in points +1.] [Madam stands by her adopted son, preventing him from turning evil and slaughtering the entire Shen family: sign-in points +1.] [Madam dares to leave the inner quarters, opens a velvet-flower workshop to preserve an intangible cultural heritage, kills bandits… sign-in points +1.] Only after Xie Lanin divorces her husband does she discover how wonderful her life can be. [Madam signs in at a teahouse and helps the emperor, who is traveling incognito, out of a difficult situation: awarded “A Hundred Paces of Official Authority.”] [Madam signs in at the county yamen and beats the drum on behalf of the people: awarded “Ten Thousand Taels of Snowflake Silver.”] [Madam funds an army for her eldest son, intercepts a secret message betraying the country, and ushers in a new era of reform and renewal: awarded “New Life for Severed Limbs,” “Light of the Nation,”…] When Xie Lanin helps her adopted son ascend the throne and becomes a founding hero of the highest rank, her former family members come to her one by one. “Madam, won't you come back?” “Mother, we need you…” “Daughter-in-law, I was wrong!” Xie Lanin puts on her official robes and walks away without looking back. To hell with being a virtuous wife and loving mother. I'm going to become a first-rank marquise!
