Mr. Fu, We’ll Never Meet Again

[Both leads are devoted to each other] [Happy ending] [Sweet and angsty] [The male lead grovels to win her back] (The story is angsty at first, then sweet. It’s brutal in the beginning and unbearably sweet later.)

Throughout their three-year marriage, she loved Fu Jingchen with careful devotion, but he treated her like trash. Even her final wish was taken from her by Fu Jingchen and given to the woman he cherished most. In the end, she left him only a delicate little daughter and a handful of ashes.

Once ruthless and decisive, a man who never believed in gods or Buddhas, he now prays before the Buddha every day, hoping only that they may meet again, in heaven or in the underworld.

“Daddy, that person looks just like Mommy.”

Fu Jingchen appears before Wen Wan, holding their daughter.

The man she had admired in her youth says she looks like his child’s mother.

Wen Wan is stunned. “Mr. Fu, we don’t know each other.”

Fu Jingchen sets down his prayer beads. His eyes bloodshot, he pins Wen Wan beneath him.

“Strangers become familiar after one meeting, and a few more will do the trick.”
