After Breaking Off the Engagement, the Princess Consort Brings Her Child to Marry the Emperor's Uncle

On her wedding day, the scumbag husband demotes her from wife to concubine. Lin Yunxi simply takes off her phoenix crown, puts it on her younger cousin, drops a divorce agreement, and walks away. The emperor sends someone to stop her. “If you don’t like Prince Rui, I have four more sons for you to choose from.” Lin Yunxi points a slender finger at the Ninth Imperial Uncle in the corner, frail and sickly, with a deranged, volatile temperament. They say he has at most three months to live. The Ninth Imperial Uncle is a madman, so marrying him means her scumbag ex won’t dare offend her. Her status will leap up a whole rank, and she can rub it in the scumbag’s face that he has to call her Imperial Aunt. Best of all, she is already pregnant. If the Ninth Imperial Uncle dies, she can become a widow and raise her child in peace. If he survives, she can nurse him back to health, divorce him, raise the child, and live a free-spirited life, with their accounts settled. Lin Yunxi’s plans are adding up perfectly, but the supposedly frail and deranged Ninth Imperial Uncle keeps revealing one identity after another: master of the Night Tower, president of the Yangfan Trading Company, a prince from another country, and the father of her child... Lin Yunxi says, “Are you ever going to stop?” The Ninth Imperial Uncle brings her a basin of foot-washing water. “No. My master says my birth chart is auspicious, and living to a hundred is no problem. Be good, my wife. I’ll wash your feet for the rest of our lives.”
