Jiang Ning, a C-list star, transmigrates to the 1980s and becomes a 160-pound mother of two who’s already married. From the start, she abandons her husband and children, makes a scene, and demands a divorce so she can remarry? She’s beset by awful relatives, despised by her in-laws, unloved by her own family, and mocked by the whole village. Fat? She’ll lose weight! Poor? She’ll get rich! She rolls up her sleeves and takes on the worst of the lot, teaching scumbags and homewreckers how to behave, then makes a comeback as a rich, beautiful woman! Her in-laws, who once looked down on her, and her own family, who never welcomed her, line up to curry favor. She has no time for them. She’s busy enjoying a cozy life with her husband and children. Years later, someone is interviewed: “Mr. Shen, why were you so determined to marry Mrs. Shen when she weighed 160 pounds?” Mr. Shen beams with happiness. “That’s a secret!”
