The Buff Merchant of Another World

When Li Liang opened his eyes, he had become Leon, a seventy-six-year-old priest in a remote borderland temple.

This was a body rusted by time, sliding down the slope of old age toward its end.

He could see and touch other people’s “statuses”

afflictions, bad habits, and curses that plagued body and mind, and strip them away to make them his own.

But in the eyes of those with ulterior motives, this power was a curse, the source of a plague.

They threw him onto a pyre, and he was reborn amid the flames.

From then on, the name of a demon monk appeared on wanted posters.

To stay alive, he must venture into lands shrouded in plague, madness, and ancient curses, and seize from the deepest shadows whatever can prolong his life.

His journey leads through conspiracy and betrayal, and into forests said to be sealed behind a veil of mist.

Every step of his adventure is a race against a life burning like a dying candle, while his actions quietly begin to uncover secrets buried beneath the icy continent for millions of years.
