Sweetly Tempting

Everyone in the capital knows that Xu Jinxi, the powerful heir who rules the wealthy elite, stands at the very top. He's ruthless in his methods, yet uniquely gentle and indulgent toward his younger sister, Shang Ying. But Shang Ying gradually loses herself in his affection, falling helplessly in love with Xu Jinxi. After all, they aren't really siblings. They aren't related by blood. What's the difference between an older brother and a boyfriend? So on the night of her eighteenth birthday, she boldly got Xu Jinxi drunk, bit his thin lips, and spent one reckless night with him. From then on, the two were entangled for five years. Shang Ying always knew that she and Xu Jinxi had no future. Still, she thought that even if all she could do was stay by his side and keep him company, that would be enough. Until... She learned that he was getting engaged. That day, after much thought, Shang Ying finally decided to give up and part ways with him for good. A year later, at her birthday party, Shang Ying raised glasses with another young gentleman and announced that they were together. The man showed no emotion as he watched her affectionately loop her arm through her new boyfriend's. Shang Ying thought that her reckless history with Xu Jinxi would end there. She never imagined that night the man would force his way into her room and pin her against the bathroom sink, pressing her with question after question: “He's your boyfriend, so what does that make me?” Shang Ying's eyes reddened and she shrank back in fear, but he pulled her back again. Steam filled the bathroom as he rubbed the skin on her wrist that someone else had touched until it turned red. Xu Jinxi warned her in a low voice: “Shang Ying, if you sleep with me, you have to take responsibility for me.” “You'll never leave me for the rest of your life.” When it came to loving Xu Jinxi, Shang Ying had always thought she was the only one in love. But she didn't know that on that night, someone else had fallen even deeper than she had.
