Most of Qidian's works can only be considered rubbish at best, and cannot even meet the standard of qualification. Of course, they are not qualified to be taken seriously, including comments. This book deserves a review. The advantages are obvious. There are no problems with the logic of the story, the writing is clear, and there is no redundant nonsense in the narrative method. The main problem lies in the control of style - does the author want to write a popular novel or a literary novel? In terms of popular novels, they are too literary and not lively enough; in terms of literary works, the underlying thinking of the novel is old-school. A secret book is big enough to change the world, but small enough to bring revenge. This kind of mythical mysticism (or to be more straightforward, superstitious thinking) is incompatible with the underlying logic of modern novels based on rationalism and realism.
