Douluo Dalu: A Single Breath of Righteousness, a Thousand Miles of Exhilarating Wind

The day Lu Chen awakened his Martial Soul at age six, what emerged was a blank scroll Martial Soul. Zero innate Soul Power. His future was already set. At six, Lu Chen followed a village teacher around, doing odd jobs in exchange for food. At eight, the eager student became a proud teaching assistant. At twelve, Lu Chen held a book in his hands and taught at a school in a thatched hut. In his spare time, he practiced swordplay for fun. Twelve long years, yet no great achievements with book or blade. Only the righteous spirit in his heart seemed to keep surging within him … One day, wolf bandits attacked the village. One day, his home was destroyed and lives were lost. One day, Lu Chen set down his books and picked up a three-foot sword. One day, after twelve years of cultivating his spirit, he finally reached mastery. “I have nurtured a righteous spirit within me. Now I shall stride straight into the clouds!” His Second Martial Soul awakened! The righteous spirit in his heart transformed into the keen edge of a three-foot sword! The Righteous Sword! “A gentleman keeps his abilities concealed until the right moment. Let poetry and books nourish the heart, and wield the sword to uphold justice. Illuminate darkness with reason, and protect all living beings with strength.” Years later. The countless conflicts across the continent, between nobles, great families, sects, and the divine authorities... even the gods in the heavens. To Lu Chen, they were nothing at all. “I came to this world for no other reason!” Only To give the world a heart, to give the people a destiny, to carry on the lost teachings of the sages of old, and to bring peace to all generations! Thus ends the long, dark night!
