Usurping the Song Dynasty: The Great Sir Ximen

I woke up one morning as Ximen Qing.

Gazing at that handsome, dashing face in the mirror, I slapped the table and laughed. At last, this incredible fortune was mine!

Wu Dalang’s flatbreads?

Pan Jinlian’s sash?

Granny Wang’s tea gatherings?

What a joke!

The Dragon Throne of the Song Empire is the sash I, Ximen Qing, intend to undo!

While the heroes of Liangshan were still arguing over whether to accept amnesty, I was drilling a private army of hardened soldiers with modern tactics.

While Zhao Ji was still painting and composing verses in his palace, my merchant fleets had seized control of the Song Empire’s economic lifelines.

Take Hu Sanniang? Wed Li Shishi? Rescue Lady Lin?

I want the beauties, and I want the empire even more!

Then one day, Yue Fei raised his Liquan Spear beneath my banner, while Song Jiang trembled on his knees before me.

“Your Majesty Ximen... do you still want Liangshan Marsh?”
