Building an Ancient City, Starting with a Bonfire

A world shrouded in endless black fog. The giant bonfire in this city has been corrupted. The townspeople crowd along the riverbanks. The few boats left are burdened with far more than they were built to carry. On a watchtower atop one of the boats, a sorcerer casts a spell to light a temporary bonfire, then sets sail to flee. Just then, a baby falls into the water, but no one pays any attention. His mother screams herself hoarse, but she can barely keep herself alive. At the edge of the black fog outside the city, countless monsters with sharp fangs and gaping jaws stir restlessly. There is no hope... The city is doomed. On the city walls, the guards stare ahead with lifeless eyes. Just then, a wandering swordsman appears outside the walls and slowly walks alone toward the black fog. The bonfire’s repelling effect suddenly fails, and the monsters swarm out, swallowing the swordsman. Is he dead? No. The nameless swordsman keeps swinging his blade, again and again, until the ground around him is piled with monster corpses. After swinging his sword for who knows how long, he suddenly stops moving. That’s right. This city has no hope. 【Your otherworldly resident, ‘Nameless Swordsman,’ has died!】 【You can spend 1 point of Wish Power to revive him.】 Only then, a thousand li away, does Li Ye notice the System prompt.
