I Am Not an Immortal

When the whole world is hiding the truth, I'm the only one who thinks he's gone mad.

Lin Feng, a high school senior, lost both his parents and has only his younger sister. For three years, he has suffered from “severe delusions,” constantly seeing himself as the supreme Immortal Venerable and the source of all paths. He relies on medication to stay lucid, struggling with poverty and guilt, convinced that he is sick.

Then one day, debt collectors kick down his door. The instant a club swings toward him, the entire old apartment building suddenly transforms before his eyes into a cold, intricate web of rules. He blurts out, “So all this time, I've been treating myself.”

As soon as the words leave his mouth, alarms blare across the global spiritual-energy monitoring network, with the coordinates pointing straight to his rented apartment.

At the same time, he discovers that the school beauty is secretly a Qi Refining cultivator, government forces are quietly taking in “anomalies,” and beings from legend are beginning to awaken.

The world has already undergone a spiritual qi revival. The only ones who haven't been told are ordinary people.

And Lin Feng gradually realizes:

His “illness” is a violent rejection between his higher-order nature and his fragile body.

His “medicine” is restraining his true self even as it delays his collapse.

His “hallucinations” may be the greatest truth this world is about to face...

As the rules begin to loosen, the anchor points shift.

Will he remain “Lin Feng” and protect his loved ones in a world destined for upheaval, or let his “nature” awaken and face the unknowable vastness and its cost?
