Immortality Is Forbidden in This World

What's the point of a synopsis? Probably to give readers a general idea of what a book is about. Authors and readers are always choosing one another, and there are so many books these days that readers don't have the time or energy to read every single one. That's why the title and synopsis matter so much: a good one can draw readers in. Coming up with a good title and synopsis is painful. I have to agonize over every word just to trick a few readers into checking out my not-necessarily-great book.

Writing a synopsis and title really is painful, isn't it? You have to convey what the book is about without giving away its core, like telling someone the answer before posing them a riddle. All you can do is skirt around the edges of the plot, write something vague yet intriguing, and somehow make it appealing. Seriously? So I've decided to put a bunch of random nonsense in the synopsis. That'll do for now. If the book ever gets popular, I'll come back and change it.

My book is about cultivating immortality. I guess it counts as a genius-type story, but it's not very conventional. I'm not a big fan of conventional plots.
