Echo Folding

In 2079, humans confirmed for the first time that consciousness can be recorded, but cannot be completely copied. The reason is not technical limitations, but - every consciousness is being "observed" by some unknown force. This force is called "The Folder." Someone falls in love, hates or mourns someone who never existed overnight. Some people begin to dream about a dark city that is constantly collapsing, and wake up with unexplainable scars on their bodies. The government named this phenomenon "folding disease." Since it is not a virus, not a bacteria, not a spiritual contamination, or even a supernatural phenomenon, it remains unsolved until now. Thus, a new profession was born—— "Echo Master" They can enter the contaminated consciousness, find the source of the abnormal echo, correct the structure, and return people to normal. But the price is: Every time he enters the consciousness of others, the Echo Master will bring out some emotions or memories that are not his own. The more times they do it, the harder it is for them to tell which experiences are theirs and which are not.
