The city still moves, the sun rises and sets. Only a handful of people know that deep within a blocked neighborhood exists a mild "anomaly." Occasionally, traumatized people report that in moments of extreme fear, they glimpsed countless horror movie scenes flashing past in the water or in the mirror, a tranquil and non-human gaze. There was no malice in that gaze. It's just there. Observing. And eternally, has been observed.
