As one of the few tech-priests in the Mechanicum who maintains humanity, Gellar secretly developed a "psychic firewall" that could shield subspace pollution, and was regarded as a heretic. During a dangerous STC archaeological experiment, he encountered a subspace mutation. With his broken body and vast knowledge, he accidentally fell into the desolate border controlled by the Tau Empire. When the alien invasion first appeared and the border army was defeated, Gellar opened his temple in the ruins and issued a declaration at the time of human survival: "This is a miracle blessed by the Emperor - using steel and faith to redeem mankind's golden future."
