Salt Fire

In the winter of 1935, Shi Jingshan's father, a rich farmer from Huangfu Village, Ooutang Town, Dingyuan County, discovered a salt mine in a saline-alkali land while opening up wasteland. Shi's father used charcoal as a cover to cook and sell private salt. The village chief colluded with the bandits and robbed and killed Shi's father on his way back in order to occupy the salt mine. The two sons, struggling Shi Jingshan and lying flat Shi Jingchuan, quickly returned home after hearing the bad news. After the salt mines produced white fine salt, the price of official salt remained high and the people still lacked salt. After many forces have fought for it, when will the common people be able to eat affordable salt?
