The Tired Bird Does Not Return to Its Nest

Taking the more than 40 years of reform and opening up in southern coastal cities as the timeline, through the protagonist's life trajectory, it shows the struggle, progress and helplessness of individuals in the wave of the times, and depicts a group of contemporary drifters who "have been rooted in a foreign country for half their lives, but their hometown has become a distant place". Reflecting urban changes through personal destiny, we explore the modern definition of "sense of belonging". The geographical distance between foreign land and hometown has evolved into a psychological barrier, which ultimately points to the helplessness and detachment of "this place of peace is my hometown".
