Prologue: The Psychic Era Begins In 2025, a meteorite codenamed "Gaia" streaked across the sky, bringing not destruction, but psychic particles that permeated the world. This energy allows the collective consciousness of mankind to resonate with all things on earth, manifesting into physical life - psychic beasts. From the urban legends on city street corners, to the fragments of gods in ancient myths, to the mechanical souls of human technological creations... The whole world seems to wake up from a deep sleep and start to "breathe". And a very small number of mentally powerful humans have awakened the ability to use cards as a medium to form contracts with these psychic beasts. They are called "psychics".
