Records of the Troubled Times in the Late Tang Dynasty

In the fourth year of Zhonghe reign of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty (884), after the defeat of Huang Chao, the Central Plains became a Shura field. The protagonist Chen Daniu's hometown was massacred by defeated troops. In order to survive, he joined the Bianzhou warlord and became an auxiliary soldier. In the military camp where the jungle is preying on the strong, he survives by relying on his extraordinary forbearance and observation skills, and accidentally saves Mo Heng, a down-and-out old official who is proficient in power. With this book and the initial accumulation of money, he left the army and moved to Bianzhou City. He found the position of scribe under Wang Mingyuan, the judge of Cangcao, and officially embarked on his official career. He changed his name to Li Conghui, which means "hiding in hiding and waiting for the right time."
