Half a Rye Cake

This is a collection of short stories packed with "half a rye cake". Rye cake is not delicate, not sweet, and may even scratch your throat, but it is very hungry and can keep you going in the cold winter. It's just like these stories - not gentle, not complete, it hurts my heart when I read them, but each one is like a mouthful of coarse food. After swallowing, I feel full, but my throat still hurts. Life here is only "half a pie": there is a broken home, there are unsaid apologies, there are endless difficulties, and there are perfections that cannot be achieved. The moon waxes and wanes, that's how things are.
