Echoes of Eternity

In 1918, the First World War came to an end. On the battlefield of Verdun, both warring parties ceased fire at the same time - because they saw the same thing. A huge shadow slowly rose from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. It obscured the sky, distorted the moonlight, and the soldiers' eyes began to bleed as they looked at it. Three days later, 78% of the world's battlefield witnesses died of "mass hysteria." Survivors said they heard bells. From that day on, the world completely changed. Legend has it that when the thirteenth bell rings, the eyes of the abyss will open.
