Southern Song: I Transmigrated as Zhao Gou and Went All In from the Start

Transmigrate as Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of Song? From the start, twelve golden orders are sent to hurry me to my death. Am I supposed to destroy the last hope of China with my own hands? No! I’m going all in this time. When the thirteenth secret edict goes out, I won’t be some cowardly, peace-seeking fool of an emperor. Everything depends on this one move! “Pengju, lead the charge and break through the Helan Mountains!” Zhao Gou stood in the court. “The treacherous ministers want me on my knees, but I insist on fighting! The Jin want our land, but I insist on taking it back!” Yue Fei: “I will restore the glory of the Han people for Your Majesty. I would sooner die a thousand deaths than fail you!” Zhao Gou: “My dear minister, fight without restraint! You’ll have all the provisions and weapons you need. I’ll deal with the slander in the court!” From then on, ruler and ministers joined hands to resist enemies within and without, purge treacherous officials, and strengthen the army. They would not only reclaim their lost homeland, but build a mighty empire whose armies surged like an iron tide and whose many nations came to pay tribute. The rise of a mighty Song begins here!
