Reborn in Another World, I Prove the Dao Amid the Mortal World

Reborn in this strange world, I found no immortals and met no gods, only the surging tides of the mortal realm.

Some sink into this world; others transcend it.

I cultivate myself through the Confucian virtue of righteousness, cultivate my heart with the Chan Buddhist mirror of clarity, cultivate my spirit through the Daoist way of following nature, and take the laws of the world as my foundation.

This mortal realm is my greatest place of practice, and my only trial.

I will attain the most serene Dao in the busiest place, and forge the purest heart where passion runs deepest.
