The Gods Sign the Wager from the Start: A Civilization on the Line

[An infinite-flow god game. Young author, and I’m going to bring the heat. I know what you want to read, so stick with it for thirty chapters.] Bad news: I died. Good news: I entered a god game, so I don’t have to die anymore. Worse news: To become a player, I have to pass five tests. If I fail, I die anyway. Better news... Even worse news... Worse still... My name is Luther. I have an older brother. He’s always talking about saving the world. He disappears all the time. Every time he comes back, he happily says, “I saved the world again.” Until one day, he never came back. That day, as if he had foreseen something, he handed me a wooden box and told me it would unlock only after he died. He didn’t want to explain much. He only said I would understand everything once I opened it. In the end, all he left behind was his retreating figure: steady, imposing, and resolute, like a hero setting out on a perilous journey, never to return. In the end, I never saw him again, and the box unlocked. Then I died too.
