Divine Soul Descends: Summoning the War God Xingtian

After transmigrating to a world where everyone summons divine souls, Jiang Chen becomes the top student everyone admires, but all he feels is sorrow. Here, angel legions are placed on a pedestal, while Daoist divine souls are pushed to the margins. The main gods have been reduced to the likes of Black and White Impermanence... Do they think the Daoist path has no gods? If even a Judge existed, the Daoist path wouldn’t be in such a sorry state! On the day of the summoning ceremony, he walked onto the summoning platform with mixed feelings and called forth an axe and an ancient bronze shield. They were the summoning tokens of a brand-new divine soul! But the summoning formation mage frowned in disdain. “The markings are archaic, the aura ferocious. A C-rank divine soul from the ranks of the Daoist path’s infernal spirits. It doesn’t belong in the pantheon.” Hearing this, the teacher who had placed great hopes in him immediately lost interest. His standing at school plummeted. After all, could a pantheon already written off as low-tier really produce a golden phoenix? Jiang Chen, however, wasn’t bothered. “You call this... a low-tier divine soul?” “You don’t recognize a true god!” An axe and a shield could belong to none other than Xingtian, the war god who wielded his shield and battle-axe! War God’s Passive: As long as his fighting spirit endures, he can never die! “!!!” “My name is Jiang Chen. My original life goal was to coast through life and wait for death.” “But the divine soul I got after transmigrating is simply too top-tier.” “So I’ll just have to reluctantly become someone who strives for greatness...”
