Beast Taming: My Soulbound Beast Comes from the Abyss

In the year 523 of the New Era, beast tamers reign supreme, while the Abyss lurks beyond the world.

I, Tantai Yaoyao, am an utterly ordinary second-year high school student who struggles with her studies. Before the whole school's awakening ceremony, I accidentally contracted a... somewhat unusual "Origin Spirit Beast."

Other people's beast-taming spaces are home to cute and powerful Origin Spirit Beasts.

Mine is occupied by a foul-mouthed, powerful Abyss Scorpion King.

Where's the promised mental corruption? And the rule that you can only have one contract slot?

Why is everything I know completely different from the way this world works?!

The whole school's awakening ceremony is tomorrow. How am I supposed to pretend to be normal and contract a second good beast in front of everyone?

Anyone there? I'm in a hurry.
