The Fire Thief in the Eternal Night

In the world of Erebus, the glorious civilization has long been swallowed up by "eclipse", leaving only a glimmer of light struggling in the eternal night. This is not evil, but the opposite of existence, the nothingness to which all things will eventually return. It corrupts life, twists it into an indescribable horrific existence, and "purifies" its most precious memories and emotions into a crystal called the "Core of Lament." Archaeologist Kaylon triggered an ancient taboo during an excavation, and was forced to coexist with the source of eclipse, becoming a half-human, half-eclipse alien. He gained the ability to steal the "Core of Lament" and carry the memories and power of thousands of dead people, but he was always at risk of being swallowed up by the endless pain and completely alienated. He was regarded as a monster by his only close friend, the Paladin Roland, who raised his sword against him; he was regarded as hope by the "Night Watch" organization struggling in the dim light, but was feared because of the destructive power lurking in his body. When he discovered that the so-called "eclipse" was actually an out-of-control ultimate program created by ancient civilizations to save the world, he stood at a crossroads of destiny: A repair program that allows the world to continue in "pure nothingness" without sorrow or joy? Or destroy the program and let the world completely die after a brief period of chaos? Or... Embark on a dead end that no one dares to imagine - using oneself as a melting pot, swallowing up all lamentation and nothingness, and stealing an imperfect but real dawn for the world that allows shadow and light to coexist?
