Steampunk: the Gambler of Light

The story takes place in an imaginary world. The steam world has no electricity and the level of technology is stronger than modern times. Everyone is born with "holy light" in their body, and the holy light will also be produced and stored as a specific energy and information medium. The male protagonist Marcus originally belonged to the upper-class inner city, and was once a paladin. He has a cynical character, loves gambling, and does whatever it takes to achieve his goals. He doesn't care much about procedural justice. For some reason, he was abandoned by the holy light and lived in the outer city of the wasteland. The heroine was born without any Holy Light in her body, but she was an excellent mechanic. She developed a fuel with very high combustion efficiency. The machinery she designed was not driven by Holy Light at all. The story revolves around two people surviving in the outer city of the wasteland and seeking revenge on the inner city.
