In the Scabbard

In Sheathed, the former Immortal Venerable Lingxiao is reborn as Lu Jingchen, an amnesiac boy found by the herb-gathering girl Shen Qinghuan. When Shen Qinghuan dies saving him, he awakens with the supreme treasure [Hollow Scabbard], which she roused through a soul sacrifice. Taking the new name Fenxiao, he steps into a post-apocalyptic world shrouded in the energy of [Void Ash].

In a world where the traditional path to immortality has been severed and all living beings struggle to survive, Fenxiao carves out a new path with the [Hollow Scabbard], using “Void Ash” as fuel to rise against the odds. He establishes the Ash Reversal Sect, navigates the rival powers, opposes the World-Eroding Faithful who worship destruction, and seeks the secrets of ancient ruins. He does it all to grow stronger, revive the girl etched into the depths of his soul, and reshape the world atop these ruins, rekindling their love.

A blade-less sword. An amnesiac boy. Awakened in another world, he bears the supreme treasure “Hollow Scabbard,” which seals the energy of heaven and earth. Will he keep his edge hidden, or draw his sword? The fate of this continent rests on his choice.

(Think the prologue takes too long to set things up? You can start with Chapter One, “Guiding with Gold Crystals, First Hearing of the World-Eroding Faithful.” It won't affect your experience of the main story!)
