Loyal Dai Family General

The loyal and loyal Dai family generals began with Dai Zhou, the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty. Dai Zhou, courtesy name Xuanyin, was from Qiao County, Qiao County. He served as an official in the Sui Dynasty in his early years, and later worked for Wang Shichong. Wang Shichong wanted to usurp the throne, but Dai Zhou made many remonstrances and was demoted. Later, Li Shimin captured Hulao Pass, and Dai Zhou returned to the Tang Dynasty. He served as Cao, a scholar in the palace of the King of Qin, and joined the army. After Li Shimin came to the throne, Dai Zhou successively served as Dali Shaoqing, Shangshu Zuocheng and other positions. He is loyal and upright by nature, dares to speak out when he is wrong, is familiar with the law, and can judge cases fairly. When faced with cases such as Changsun Wuji bringing a knife into the palace and officials forging qualifications, he was not afraid of authority, insisted on handling the cases in accordance with the law, corrected unreasonable sentences and upheld legal justice, and was highly regarded by Taizong. In 630, Dai Zhou participated in the government affairs as Minister of Civil Affairs and became prime minister. He also suggested setting up charity warehouses, which would contribute greatly to the country's people's livelihood. After Dai Zhou died of illness, Emperor Taizong posthumously awarded him the titles of Shangshu Youpuse and Daoguogong, with the posthumous title of Zhong, and built a temple to worship him.
