Douluo Dalu: King of Vengeful Spirits, Devouring Ning Rongrong from the Start

On the faraway borders of Douluo Dalu lies a beautiful city called Liuli. Lu Lishang transmigrated there and thought his days would remain peaceful and happy forever. He never expected disaster to strike one day, as Tang Chen, possessed by the Nine-Headed Bat King, slaughtered all one million inhabitants of the city. Not a single person survived. As time passed, Liuli City became a desolate land of death. Its immense resentment surged toward Lu Lishang, who had already died. “This body once fought for happiness. For the countless millennia to come, only vengeance will remain. I swear I will have my revenge.” “Ning Rongrong? Since you’ve come to me, you’ll be my puppet. Help me overturn the world.” Ning Rongrong: “N-no… Let me out…” Tang San: “What? I didn’t kill you! Don’t…” Tang Hao: “Why can’t I use my powers? What have you done to me?”
