The Western Regions and the Huns

This book captures more than a hundred historical stories between the Western Regions and the Xiongnu in chronological order, taking readers into that era of war and passion. The geographical scope of the "Western Regions" mainly refers to China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, but there may be different boundaries in different dynasties. For example, the Western Regions Protectorate in the Han Dynasty was established in 60 BC, and its management scope included the Tarim Basin and the area east of Congling; while in the Tang Dynasty, the scope of control was expanded through the Anxi Protectorate and the Beiting Protectorate. In addition, countries such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan also have close ties with the Western Regions in history; Iran is also regarded as the modern geographical scope of the Western Regions to a certain extent. The Xiongnu were mainly active in the Mongolian Plateau. Later, through wars or alliances, the Xiongnu's power gradually expanded to the Western Regions.
