Wanqing Apartment: the Story of Group Care for the Elderly

Six classmates and two colleagues, with a friendship spanning more than 40 years, made a common choice at the crossroads of retirement - to stay together for retirement. Tired of the loneliness of living alone and the running around of their children, they decided to build their own "senior community" in a "standardized" way: from formulating charters, sharing expenses, dividing labor and cooperating, to dealing with life frictions, coping with health crises, and balancing family relationships. Under the roof of the "Wanqing Apartment", this group of "elderly people" with an average age of 62 relearned how to get along, fought against aging in the smoke, and found the warmth and dignity of old age in mutual support. This is not a romantic utopian experiment, but a true story about "old age" and "companion" written by a group of ordinary people with courage and wisdom.
