The Background Extra at the Immortal Sect Has a Killer Move

Only after dying did the nobody from the Immortal Sect, Chao Ci, learn that the lives of the people she cherished had been nothing but diversions along the romance between her senior sister, the reincarnated Goddess, and the Demon Venerable. Given another chance, Chao Ci decides she’s done being a person. When the Goddess and Demon Venerable first meet, she plays the erhu next door. When the Goddess and Demon Venerable meet again in a secret realm, she barbecues chicken legs next door. When the Goddess and Demon Venerable pledge their love at an auction, she heckles them next door. As the lightning tribulation bears down and the Goddess and Demon Venerable vow to die together, she sets off firecrackers next door. Her guiding principle: pass through your whole world, making you sick without letting you kill her. Thanks to Chao Ci’s tireless efforts, the Goddess falls for someone else, and the Demon Venerable finds a new love. And yet the war between gods and demons still breaks out. The innocent mortal world once again becomes a battlefield, littered with the dead and dying. Chao Ci is furious. “To hell with this stupid war between gods and demons! What does their fighting have to do with the mortal world? If Heaven and Earth are going down, then let’s all go down together!”
