Back to the 1970S: My Fair-Skinned Beauty Catches the Eye of a Cold, Tough Soldier

Famous singer Nan Xi wakes up to find that she has entered a period novel as the vicious supporting character who shares her name! From the start, her sick mother entrusts her to the Gu family in the capital. The original owner made a mess of everything and died in a muddy ditch over a young sent-down intellectual? Nan Xi says, “I’m not playing this role!” On the train, a gang of thugs harasses the breathtaking beauty. In desperation, she throws herself into the arms of a stern, rugged man and calls him “Darling!” His eyes are deep as stars, and his presence is imposing. He easily gets her out of trouble, but scoffs at her bold claim that she’ll “snag a rich husband.” Little does she know that this prickly rose is the “scheming foster sister” he has been ordered to meet! After moving into the Gu household, Nan Xi has a golden finger: her extraordinary singing voice amazes everyone, and the lipstick she makes herself becomes all the rage in the family compound! A fake-sweet childhood friend keeps giving her a hard time? Nan Xi hits back with face-slapping revenge, showing no mercy to scumbags! The aloof Young Master Gu is wary of her at first, convinced she’s trying to climb the social ladder. But as he watches her be charming without being coquettish, put people in their place, shine onstage through her own talent, and even chip away at his defenses with a bowl of hot soup... his vaunted self-control completely crumbles! When thugs corner her in a dark alley, he descends like a god and shields her with his own body. When rumors slander her, he declares in a voice that brooks no argument, “She’s a daughter of the Gu family. Who dares bully her?”
