Ink and Letters

As a woman, she has been hemmed in by countless constraints, like an invisible net stretching across her past and present lives. And yet she has been fortunate in both. A love that transcends convention and clan has helped her become a better version of herself. A woman who never says “love” has gained so much through loving. In an age when society does not prize love, she has found her true self within it. The precious virtues passed down over thousands of years have all been transformed into designer handbags in shop windows, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzes, and Maseratis. She, too, once pursued them, admired them, and tried using all the usual tricks to win another person's heart. Yet the memories of her past life brought the person who loved her in this life back to her once more. His clothes were so plain, his life had neither car nor home, and even one trip was a luxury. “What do you even love about him?” The people around her would press her, and she would doubt herself, too. Yet every time she pushed him away, he came closer still. His integrity and courage, his hard work and perseverance, the way he listened late into the night, and his words, “There is nothing wrong with you,” became the key to her heart. If true love and redemption meant becoming a better Mo, then Xin was the person of her dreams. Mo and Xin, Love and protection, Spirit and flesh, Together for a lifetime.
