Gaia's Awakening

In 2089, when the earth's ecology was on the verge of collapse, environmental scientist Ke Yan discovered the "Gaia strain", an ancient microorganism with amazing repair capabilities in the Arctic. Forced by the global environmental crisis, humans decided to release these microorganisms, not knowing that they are actually the earth's immune system. The strain quickly spirals out of control and begins to decompose all man-made matter, causing civilization to collapse. Ke Yan discovered that the bacterial strain could coexist with humans and volunteered to become the first convert to connect to the earth's consciousness network.
