Lawrence really didn't know what was good about being a mage. He didn't know it when he conquered the Dwarf Holy City; he didn't know it when he conquered the Emerald Paradise; he still didn't know it when the empire defeated the Mage Association and dominated the entire continent. Why did those mages rush into magic one after another? Lawrence couldn't figure it out even if he thought about it - who told him not to know magic. Throughout his military life, he was a knight on horseback and an undefeated Iron Guard general. He never lost on the battlefield, and even the steel walls could not stop his cannonballs. But he lost politically. He never pursued power, so he eventually lost it. But he didn't expect that after that sweet moment of annihilation, he opened his eyes again and learned magic. Oh...
