“What is depression?”

Rod put it in simple terms: “You need friends, you need hobbies, and you need a lover.”

“Why do I always perform so badly?”

The muscular mage held an eight-foot brass staff, his face full of dejection.

“No, this isn't a problem with your abilities.”

“Then what is it? (Curious)”

“Exam anxiety syndrome. One course of treatment is ten gold coins.”

Mages with psychological disorders, vegetarian vampires, naturally timid giants, dragons who hate treasure, self-conscious elves, restless gargoyles, demons who love to lie flat, goblins who prefer their own kind...

As the empire crumbles and wars rage, the Church rises over the bones of imperial power. Rod throws himself into the tide of the times, raising high the banner of the mind.

“Friend to every religious order.” The great psychologist, founder of Mind Magic, and legendary figure of the Mind Church: Saint Rod Caesar.
