A Bite Mark in Spring

Yan Changye is the dream man of the capital’s socialite circles, devastatingly handsome and irresistible to countless young women. Yet he has roamed through a sea of flowers without ever letting a single petal touch him. No one knows that he has coveted Jiang Manman for a very, very long time. Jiang Manman has loved her first love, Xie Yuheng, for years. They grew up together, but when they meet again, he is the untouchable heir to the Xie financial empire in Hong Kong, while she is merely an adopted daughter of the Jiang family. Jiang Manman loses herself in Xie Yuheng’s tenderness, eagerly anticipating their marriage. But when it comes time to sign, she waits and waits, and he never puts pen to paper. Xie Yuheng gently coaxes her: “I won’t marry you, but you’ll always be the person I love most.” He claims to love her with his life, yet turns around and gives their engagement to someone else. That night, heartbroken, Jiang Manman drinks herself into a stupor. Yan Changye, devastatingly handsome, wins her over with his looks. The next day, Yan Changye gets their marriage certificate and posts about it on his social media, setting it so only Xie Yuheng can see. His caption reads: “You’re the painful past she can’t stand. I’m the rest of her life.” At that moment, Xie Yuheng loses his mind! People say Xie Yuheng, the ruthless and vicious financial magnate who rules Hong Kong’s elite circles, is as pristine as carved ice and jade, noble and aloof, and gives Jiang Manman all the doting devotion he has to offer. They say Yan Changye is noble and arrogant, wild and brazen, and a carefree playboy, yet among the countless women in his life, he has chosen only Jiang Manman. But in Jiang Manman’s eyes, neither of the two men she met is any good.
