Fireworks Scorch the Spring

[Zhuo Qinye, a sincere and tsundere shop owner & Fu Mancheng, a gentle firefighter with a strong possessive streak] Zhuo Qinye was fired less than half a month into her new job. Unable to sleep one night, she went to the window for some air and unexpectedly spotted an arsonist. One piece of bad luck after another struck that day, and Zhuo Qinye, soaked by the rain, woke up everyone in the building. Once the crisis was over, she was pushed into going on a blind date. Her date turned out to be the fire captain who had come to the rescue that day. Their differing views on marriage led to an unhappy parting. Before leaving, Fu Mancheng declared with absolute certainty, “We’re not right for each other.” Zhuo Qinye was strong-willed and didn’t want anyone to see her vulnerable side, but Fu Mancheng always showed up when she was at her most miserable and embarrassed, offering her comfort. Unable to control her growing feelings for Fu Mancheng, Zhuo Qinye decided to take the initiative. But Fu Mancheng kept backing away. Two cowards, both longing for love but afraid to embrace it, finally exchanged their hearts. Fu Mancheng gave her all his love: a prenuptial agreement, full disclosure of his assets, and Zhuo Qinye named as the beneficiary of every insurance policy. Moved to tears, Zhuo Qinye couldn’t resist teasing him: “Who was it that said we weren’t right for each other?” Fu Mancheng replied, “A dog said that.” Love should be a two-way street, but Fu Mancheng only knows how to give, give, and give some more!
