Awakening to the Stars

In 2045, red light descended from the sky. The earth ruptured, and floods raged. It was as if the apocalypse had arrived.

Humanity seemed to have anticipated this day. The major powers swiftly established all kinds of bases, while countless small nations either sought the protection of larger ones or faced utter destruction.

After the disaster, the entire planet seemed to undergo a transformation. Ordinary wild animals grew enormously and became incredibly ferocious. Common rats grew to nearly two meters long, and ordinary cats became as big as cars, to say nothing of the terrifying creatures lurking in the deep sea.

Humanity seemed to change as well beneath the red light. Ordinary people began to develop all kinds of supernatural abilities, and the many secrets hidden across the planet gradually began to surface.

People called this horrific cataclysm the Star Era, or the Great Earth Rift.
