I'm No Beast Tamer, I Just Like to Pet Them

[Farming + Beast Taming + Lighthearted Daily Life]

“Other people tame beasts by working themselves to the bone. I just have to pet them to get stronger!”

Animal behaviorist Ryan is hit by a truck while trying to save a cat, then reincarnates in another world and inherits a small farm. Humans here live alongside all kinds of strange magical pets, but Ryan soon realizes that something about him is different:

Rub a cat's paws, and a Starblade Cat evolves into a Galaxy Cat Lord.

Stroke a turtle's shell, and a sleeping Rock Crystal Turtle awakens its domain barrier.

Give a slime a good rub, and a Radiant Winged Holy Beast splits into existence!

It turns out that his awakened “God-Tier Petting Technique” can accelerate the growth of magical pets through touch, and even trigger hidden evolutions! But with great power comes great responsibility:

Healing petting: Calm rampaging magical pets and turn a broken-horned Dragon Lizard into a guardian warrior.

Tactical petting: Bring a fire phoenix back to life with his bare hands on the battlefield and turn the tide of a desperate fight.

Diplomatic petting: Win over the proud elves' sacred deer and put an end to a thousand-year-old feud between the races!

From a down-and-out farmer in a ruined town to a beast-taming master wielding the legend of “getting stronger with a single pet,” Ryan leads a whole squad of pets rubbed bald. He farms and raises adorable pets with one hand, and rewrites the history of the continent's wars with the other.

But... why has even the Abyssal Demon Dragon become his little leg-hanger after all that petting?

“Don't get the wrong idea. I'm really not a dragon rider. Its tail just feels amazing!”
