Legend has it that beneath a torrential downpour, a giant serpent will ascend to heaven and become a dragon. Of course, not every serpent can become a dragon. Those that can grow scales and horns and develop a fearsome head are surely the mighty creatures that do not fear thunderous wind, lightning, or rain falling like arrows. Giant serpents terrified by thunder and lightning and afraid of pain can only remain forever hidden in streams and ravines. Whether one becomes a dragon or a serpent depends on a single thought. This is the story of how a little grass snake became a dragon. The young thief Xiao Shizi, through a twist of fate, acquired a duplicate brother who looked exactly like him.
