My Wife Used My Mom’s Ambulance to Drive Her True Love to Work

When my mother had a heart attack, I called my wife at the hospital for help, but the ambulance never came. Then I saw a post from her senior colleague, Jiang Yan, posing smugly in the passenger seat of an ambulance. The caption read: “First day on the job. Chauffeur service, cool!”

I commented, “Does the hospital offer this service?”

My wife called right away. “Why the sarcasm? There are so many ambulances at the hospital, and you just had to take mine? In such a hurry to die?”

Jiang Yan burst out laughing beside her.

By the time the next ambulance arrived, my mother had already breathed her last. In her hand, she still clutched two hundred yuan for her daughter-in-law. I exchanged every last bill for spirit money and burned it all, along with the love I'd given my wife for seven years.
