Leading the Team to Avoid Relegation? He's Not Even a Coach!

By a twist of fate, a young Chinese music student studying abroad became the head coach of Piacenza, the bottom team in Italy’s third-tier league.

Can he lead the team out of its slump?

“That Chinese guy? Keep the team from getting relegated? He’s not even a coach!” the fans said.

Reader’s note:

This is a football coaching novel with no System, a fairy tale written for football fans.

I checked with both editors, and neither will offer me a contract.

The ceiling for sports fiction is already low, and non-System football novels have even less of a market. My writing also leans toward the technical side, so there’s no chance of getting a contract.

I won’t abandon this novel. I’ll keep updating every two days, with each chapter over 3,000 words when I can manage it, and continue at this pace. Since I don’t have a contract, I have no publishing platform and no income. Updates are supported entirely by readers and the author’s love for the story. So if you enjoy the book, please recommend it wherever football fans gather. Thanks for your help.

Like my last book, this one is written purely for fun. If I’m in a good mood and the writing goes smoothly, or if a generous supporter comes along, I may post extra chapters.

Like my last book, this one will definitely be completed. I definitely won’t abandon it.

The story won’t be especially long. I expect it to run about 1.5 million words. That’s how far I’ve planned the plot, so it might run longer, but it’s unlikely to be shorter.
