Back on the Day My Girlfriend Proposed, I Let Her Be with Her One True Love

An accident struck our cruise ship, and there was only one spot left on the lifeboat. The three of us drew lots, and I got the spot. I wanted to give my chance at survival to Han Ruoyin, but as we struggled, her childhood sweetheart climbed aboard the rescue boat first.

Just when we thought our lives were about to end, the rescue team arrived in time and brought us back from the endless deep sea. After everything we’d been through, Han Ruoyin and I naturally walked down the aisle together. But on our wedding day, her childhood sweetheart returned to that same stretch of sea and jumped in. When Han Ruoyin heard he was dead, she was devastated, then blamed me for everything. She had the baby in her womb aborted and hired people to imprison me in a basement, making my life worse than death. Years later, I died after enduring inhuman torture.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day after the yacht accident, when she proposed to me. As Han Ruoyin held my hand just as she had in my previous life and said she would marry me no matter what, I calmly pulled my hand away. “Han Ruoyin, let’s break up.”
