Lost in the Night of the Capital

Fu Luchen, the most powerful tycoon in the capital, is high-ranking, influential, cold, and ruthless. He is bone-deep indifferent to love, yet capable of both restraint and indulgence. With her grandmother in urgent need of one million yuan for surgery, Shen Wan becomes the man’s kept woman under the terms of a contract. When someone asks about her, he casually replies, “She’s just a pet I keep.” Scene One: Shen Wan offends Mr. Yang, a big shot in both the underworld and the legitimate world, and Fu Luchen gets into a car accident. Confined to a wheelchair, he insists on making her sit on his lap. She asks softly, “At the auction, why did you secretly arrange for Gu Nanfeng to bid? So you really care about me that much?” Seeing the probing look in her eyes, the man replies coolly, “You’re reading too much into it. I’ve always kept a low profile.” Shen Wan chuckles. “Got it. We’re just in a business arrangement.” Fu Luchen feels inexplicably annoyed. Scene Two: It isn’t until the day of her wedding into the Ye family, when Shen Wan takes the money and runs, that Fu Luchen finally realizes she has been deceiving him all along. She has no feelings for him whatsoever, and only got close to him for revenge. She used him to get back at her younger sister, ruin the marriage alliance her stepmother arranged, and reclaim the shares that belonged to her... The most cunning and ruthless man in the world of high finance has been completely played by a woman. Scene Three: Years after their breakup, Shen Wan lets herself believe that a cold-hearted man like Fu Luchen must have forgotten her long ago. Until that night, when fireworks blaze across the sky. The crowd parts like a tide, and he appears holding red roses. His gaze is resolute as he walks slowly toward her on long legs. Fu Luchen’s voice is low. “Wanwan, I’m an idiot. I fell in love with someone and didn’t even realize it...” A cold, arrogant, scheming CEO x a gorgeous woman with a calculating mind Cultural relic restorer x financial tycoon
