Misfortune Comes Only at Night

Three incidents occur within a month around an ordinary bachelor apartment: a man in red underwear follows women through the night; a man vanishes from a blood-soaked room; and a woman with a fish’s tail is hauled out of a water tank.

An ordinary man named Xue Shangdong is connected to every one of them.

Xue Shangdong knows what they did to him. Stripped of his pride, his self-respect, and even his most basic right to survive, he decides to fight back in his own way.

You can question him or condemn him, but you cannot judge his crimes. These people brought it all on themselves.

In the darkest night, a pair of eyes watches him. Are they the eyes of his former self, another version of him, or the person he is about to become?
